EXPO 1520 Rail Report
Between 11 and 14 September 2013 VNIIZhT’s experimental tests circuit at Shcherbinka hosted the Fourth International Railway Salon – EXPO 1520, the largest specialized exhibition event dedicated to the railway industry in Russia, the CIS and Baltic countries. At EXPO 1520 OVK exhibited three wagons, together with examples of Model 18-9855 and Model 18-9836 bogies.

Wagon component joint venture
US rolling stock component and braking equipment manufacturer Wabtec Corp signed a joint venture agreement with United Wagon Co at the Expo 1520 railway show at Shcherbinka on September 12, paving the way for the introduction of new technology in the Russian and CIS rail freight markets.

United Wagon Co. (UWC) and Amsted Rail have formed a joint venture to provide the "next generation of freight rolling stock technology" to the Russian and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) freight-rail market, according to an Amsted Rail press release.

Motion Control momentum in Russia
Amsted Rail and Russian freight car builder United Wagon Co. have entered into a joint venture to introduce heavy-haul freight rail rolling stock components into the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) freight rail market, which includes Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
