Russia-based freight car manufacturer UWC will provide TEXOL, a railway operator from Kazakhstan, with articulated LPG tank cars. The number of tank cars to be supplied amounts to 400, with deliveries to be completed before the end of Q1/2021.

At the start of the year, the railway operator purchased the first lot of 400 cars. With the latest acquisition, TEXOL will possess a total of 800 Tikhvin-produced articulated tank cars. The 15-9541-01 tank car is designed to transport LPG (propane, butane and their mixtures). It has an increased loading capacity of 90 t and an impressive tank volume of 163.1 cbm.
