RailSpetsTrans orders 300 wagons
RailSpetsTrans and State Transport Leasing Co have placed an order for United Wagon Co to supply 300 vans by the end of the first half of 2021.
The Type 11-6874 covered van was developed by UWC’s All-Union Research & Development Centre for Transportation Technology and is produced at the TikhvinSpetsMash factory.
The 25 tonne axleload Type 18-9855 bogies provide the design with a capacity of 73 tonnes or 175 m3. The doors are suitable for forklift trucks, and there are internal lashing rings for securing the load.
The wagons are designed for a maintenance interval of 1 million km or eight years, and a service life of 32 years.
