TVSZ 23.5-ton Cars Approved for Operation in FSU Countries
Tikhvin Car-Building Plant (TVSZ) received approval for its freight cars operation in Russia, CIS and Baltic countries, The RZD-Partner reports. The approval is received for the 23.5-ton freight cars with Barber bogies.
The decision was taken at the 55th Meeting of the Commission for the Railway Transport Council. Most of the railway administrations also supported expanding the cars with 25-ton Barber bogies to all 1520-mm countries. TVSZ is considering establishing service centers for its freight cars at car repair facilities.
