30,000 innovative UWC railcar inspected and handed over to State Transport Leasing Company
On 1 July United Wagon Company held a ceremonial shipment and handover of its 30,000 th new generation railcar, which was delivered to State Transport Leasing Company. First Deputy CEO of State Transport Leasing Company Anton Borisevich, UWC’s CEO Timofey Khryapov, UWC’s Deputy Head of Commerce and Marketing Boris Myagkov, and Managing Director of Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant Gennady Veselov all took part in the ceremony.
The landmark 30,000 th railcar was the new generation model 12-9853 gondola car with unloading hatches, produced by the Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant (part of United Wagon Company). The long-term contract signed with UWC holding provides for the supply of model 12-9853 gondola cars with unloading hatches and an increased payload capacity.
UWC is a strategic partner of State Transport Leasing Company in the development of rail transport leasing. The volume of purchases from plants owned by the UWC holding amounts to 150 billion rubles ($2,4 bln). This accounts for more than 40,000 new generation cars, including future deliveries.
