GTLK and UWC sign cooperation agreement at SPIEF’21
JSC State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK)and PJSC «Research and production corporation «United Wagon Company» (UWC) signed a cooperation agreement at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The document was signed by Evgeny Dietrich, CEO of GTLK, and Timofey Khryapov, CEO of UWC.
The agreement is aimed at developing mutually beneficial cooperation between the companies related to the acquisition of new generation freight cars.
GTLK and UWC are linked by a long-standing partnership. Since 2016, GTLK has contracted for and purchased 56,800 innovative railcars from UWC for over RUB 195 billion.
GTLK is the largest customer for innovative railcars in Russia. The company's activities contribute to the support of rail vehicle manufacturers, renewal of rolling stock, improvement of passenger comfort and development of transportation infrastructure. As at 30/04/2021, GTLK's leased and rented railcar fleet totals 98,100 railcars, and with contracted railcars included, 102,500 units. The total investment in the industry exceeds RUB 422 billion.
United Wagon Company is the largest manufacturer of freight cars in Russia[1]. Its product range includes more than 70 models of new generation railcars. UWC designs and manufactures freight cars compliant to international and Russian standards, and exports its products to the CIS, Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East and the USA.
