RPC “United Wagon Company” and Petersburg State Transport University announce cooperation

Research and Production Corporation "United Wagon Company" (RPC UWC) and Petersburg State Transport University (PSTU) reached cooperation agreement on joint working concerning creation and implementation of modern educational technologies in railway transport, using the PSTU scientific resources.

Partnership key direction is joint research activities in the area of testing of materials and components of freight cars and non-destructive testing, educational programmes for corporate employees and on-the-job training for PSTU students at RPC UWC enterprises, scholarships programmes for the best students and masters of the university, as well as the participation of PSTU leading scientists in the Science and Engineering Consultative Council, organized by RPC UWC.

The document was signed within the framework of the international congress "Innovations and Staff in Railway Transport Geopolitics", organized on June 17-18 in St. Petersburg. The Congress is part of the event programme of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2015.

Alexey Sokolov, First Deputy CEO at RPC "United Wagon Company", said: "Joint educational projects contribute to the industry development that is why young professionals’ support and education are among our priorities.
