Top management changes at United Wagon Company
PJSC “Research and production corporation “United Wagon Company” (“UWC” or “the Company”) (MOEX: UWGN) reports changes to its top management team.
The Company’s new Deputy CEO, Chief Financial Officer is Alexander Brinza. Before joining UWC, Alexander served as Senior Vice President and Advisor to Russian Capital (now DOM.RF) Bank. He held management positions and board membership at Sviaz-Bank, Gazprombank and Sberbank. Alexander Brinza also served as Executive Director for the Research and Design Institute for Information Technology, Signalling and Telecommunications in Railway Transportation (NIIAS,a subsidiary of Russian Railways).
Boris Myagkov has been appointed Deputy CEO, Commerce and Marketing. Before he came to UWC, Boris had been Deputy CEO for Railway Rolling Stock, and, later, for Civil Products at JSC NPK Uralvagonzavod named after F.E. Dzerzhinsky. He also headed the Planning and Design Office at JSC Railway Research Institute (PDO of JSC “VNIIZhT”) and chaired the Boards of Directors of JSC Kamensk Uralsky Cast Works and JSC Tomsk Electrical Engineering Works. Boris Myagkov also chairs the Supervisory Committee of the Association of Railcar Manufacturers that reunites builders and users of railway rolling stock.
The role of Deputy CEO, Production and Supply has been assigned to Victor Dolgov, who comes to UWC from JSC “Belebeevsky zavod “Avtonormal” (BelZAN) where he served as General Director. Victor began his career at KBkhimmash and rose through the ranks from an engineering technologist to facilities manager. Victor formerly worked as General Director for the Bezhitskiy Steel Mill and Pilsen Steel, and held management positions at Stroytransgaz, Murom Switch Works and other enterprises, where his responsibilities included strategic planning, development and financial management.
Igor Tkachev has been appointed Executive Director at Tihvin Assembly Plant “Titran-Express”. Igor was formerly an advisor to CEO at Prodimex, a food supplier. Before joining Prodimex, he held the position of general director at UVZ-Trans and UVZ-Logistic. He also held management positions at Refservice for over ten years, where he was responsible for commercial activities and overseeing freight shipments.
Alexander Krekov has joined the Company as Deputy CEO, General Matters. Before coming to UWC, Alexander had served as Vice President at ARETI International Group and as Deputy CEO at Stroytransgaz. He has also held various management positions at an oil and gas company ITERA, where his responsibilities included economic security and corporate protection.
With UWC, the group’s parent company, made Sole Executive Body of its operating subsidiaries, Gennady Veselov has become Managing Director of the Company’s railcar building entities located at the Industrial Site in Tikhvin, Anna Orlova has been appointed Executive Director at VNICTT and Deputy CEO, Strategy and Products at UWC, while the position of Executive Director at NPC “Springs” has been given to Sergey Krivosheev.
Timofey Khryapov, Chief Executive Officer at UWC, said, “I see our new top management team as highly competent professionals. We will continue to develop the Company using our best efforts to raise the efficiency of production and optimize its costs, creating products with a high added value for consumers that comply to strictest quality standards. These measures will secure and maintain our leadership in the freight car construction market, both inside the country and internationally.”
