UNITED WAGON COMPANY AND ZAPSIB-TRANSSERVICE HAS SIGNED AN AGREEMENT ON 1,000 GONDOLAS SUPPLY

Operating lessor RAIL1520 (managed by United Wagon Company, UWC) will provide a railroad operator ZapSib-Transservice with 1,000 gondolas equipped with innovative Barber bogies under  a long-term operative lease contract.

ZapSib-Transservice will receive 1,000 drop-bottom universal gondolas model 12-9761-02 produced by Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant (managed by UWC as well) and innovative Barber bogies. More than 400 freight cars have already been supplied to the company-operator. The entire rolling stock will be delivered in first quarter of 2014 and will be operated for export of stone coal and hematite.

Commenting on this deal, Alexander Lukyanenko,  Deputy CEO for Sales & Supply at UWC, said: “This agreement demonstrates that the market expects innovative car utilization not only for domestic  but also for external  transport routs”.

Innovative rolling stock allows us to use both technical and technological advantages of cars as well as get additional economic effect”.
