United Wagon Company moves up in Forbes, RAEX-600, RBC 500 and Top 1000 Russian Managers rankings
Research and production corporation United Wagon Company (UWC, the Holding or the Company) (MOEX: UWGN), Russia’s largest manufacturer of freight cars1, is going up in the annual rankings of Russia’s largest companies conducted by RAEX rating agency (RAEX-Analytics) and leading media holdings Forbes and RBC, as well as the ranking of Russia’s top managers by Kommersant Publishing House and the Association of Managers of Russia (AMR).
United Wagon Company was ranked 136th by revenue in Forbes’ ranking of the largest private companies in Russia (up from 148th place last year), 186th in the RAEX-600 ranking of Russia’s largest companies (up from 200th) and 177th in the RBC 500 ranking (up from 191st). UWC’s revenue for 2018 amounted to RUB 76.4 billion, showing an increase of 23%. The positive revenue trend was a continued result of an increase in production and sales volumes, as well as higher freight car prices and rental rates. The year-on-year growth in revenue is a sign of the company’s stable development.
United Wagon Company’s CEO Timofey Khryapov took first place in the Mechanical Engineering category of the Top 1000 Managers of Russia. The ranking is considered a highly regarded and effective tool for assessing the professional reputation of top-level Russian managers.
