Opinions
Deputy CEO for projects and technical policies at Eurosib SPb – Transport Systems and CEO at ERVK
“At present, the share of UWC freight cars in Eurosib's container platform fleet stands at 70%. With the new contract signed, the figure will grow. The rolling stock from the Tikhvin producers allows us not only to save on operational expenses, but also to roll out new container services and bolster existing ones. Local regulations for allocating and securing TEUs have already been cleared for the container platforms, so that we can start operating the new railcars as soon as they are delivered".
Andrey Banshchikov, Director for Equipment Operations at TransContainer
“TransContainer is always working to refresh its fleet of container flat cars and is keen to see efficient rolling stock operating on a container transportation market, able to secure the reliable supply of freight products to our clients. Partnering with UWC is a good example of how we find solutions to fulfil these objectives".
Stanislav Stankevich, Executive Director at Trans Synergy
“Our company can boast having an advanced and one of the youngest rolling stock fleets on the market. Operating the Tikhvin rolling stock will further strengthen our position, as the new generation cars have already proven their efficacy in the 1520-mm space. We look forward to further successful cooperation with United Wagon Company and State Transport Leasing Company as our partners".

“The company is currently in an active construction phase. This year we are faced with the task of increasing our fleet of container flat cars to exceed the threshold of 5,000 units. From the outset, the company has been building its fleet with new generation cars, the technical and economic characteristics of which are considerably superior to their counterparts running on the rail network, which gives us a significant advantage over our competitors. We are confident that in these challenging times, we will be able to build a successful business, relying on the high competencies of our team, as well as modern and efficient rolling stock. Therefore, we look forward to developing further fruitful cooperation with the State Transport Leasing Company and United Wagon Company".
